Jobs and Volunteering

Thank you for your interest in working or volunteering for Cambridge Women's Aid. We will post information about vacancies on this page when they arise.

Working for us

There are currently no vacancies.

Becoming a trustee

Effective governance is key to the success and sustainability of our organisation. Trustees contribute their skills and experience to the board to help us to achieve our mission. We have currently paused recruitment of general trustees, but are still specifically seeking someone to take on the role of Treasurer. The Treasurer monitors the financial standing of the charity, and has oversight of financial risk-management practices, cash-flow, income streams, outgoing expenses and the overarching strategic management of the organisation’s financial resources. If you are interested in this role, please get in touch for more information.

Volunteering

CWA does not have a general volunteering programme, but occasionally we are able to make use of a specific offer of help. If you have a skill or talent you can offer us, please email us letting us know what you are offering and someone will come back to you. If you want to learn more about supporting survivors and taking action in your community to end domestic abuse, you may like to join our free community training offer, the Empowerment Collective.

If you are looking for a local women’s organisation that does recruit volunteers, please consider Cambridge Rape Crisis. They offer excellent training and supervision to volunteers.
