Cambridge Women’s Aid exists to make a positive change in the lives of women and children escaping domestic abuse.  We are seeking applications for two vacancies:

 

  • Full time Family Support Worker
  • Part time Children's Worker

 

Full time Family Support Worker to work with children and their mothers/carers affected by domestic abuse. You will be a key person in the team of workers providing CWA’s coordinated family support service.  In addition, you will help to develop and improve our expanding service.  You must hold a relevant level 3 qualification in childcare, education, health, social work or teaching and have experience of supporting vulnerable families.

This post is fixed term for a minimum of two years. It is based in Cambridge City with some travel across the county and is paid at the new NJC pay scale 24 which is £27,905 p.a for a 37 hour week.  In addition there is a 5% pension contribution.

Closing date for applications midday on Friday 24th May 2019
Interviews will be held in the week commencing 3rd June.

Part time Children’s Worker wanted to work to provide daily one to one and group sessions to children living in the Cambridge refuge. You will have experience of looking after children and planning activities to meet their needs.  You must hold a relevant level 2 or 3 qualification in childcare, education, health, social work or teaching.  Experience of supporting vulnerable families is an advantage.

This post is fixed term for a minimum of two years. It is based in Cambridge City with some local travel.  It is paid at the new NJC pay scale 16 - 18 which equates to £18,947 - £19,713 p.a for a 30 hour week.  In addition there is a 5% pension contribution.
